7 1/4 inch gauge Freelance Industrial Locomotive

This 7 1/4 inch gauge freelance industrial locomotive was built by a previous society member, Peter Withers, and subsequently purchased by David.  It was based around a pair of second-hand frames and a set of Bagnal wheels.  Two 350 Watt electric motors are mounted behind the buffer beams and each drives its axle via a chain drive with the connecting rods keeping everything in synchronisation.  Two 70Ah leisure batteris provide the power via a 4QD electrinic controller.
