You don't have to own an engine to become a member. There is always plenty to do and we need lots of help, not just on running days but also on other weekends when we carry out maintenance and building work, etc.

Whether you are a qualified engineer, a keen do-it-yourself person or can only make a cup of tea, you will be very welcome. As long as you are enthusiastic and willing to pitch in, we'll teach you to do almost anything.

Annual Membership is £35.00 . Contact the Secretary for a membership form or feel free to just turn up and talk to any member.

Birthday Parties

The railway can be booked for private parties. These are usually held on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month before the Members' running or Public running.

The railway is booked for exclusive use by the birthday party. We provide the staff, trains, tables, seating and gazebos for wet weather cover. You provide the people (children) and the food and drink for a great birthday.

The trains will run as necessary to give everybody as many rides as they want. For cost and availability for a maximum of 30 people, please contact the secretary

Santa Specials

At Christmas a very special person comes to visit the railway and we provide Santa Special trains to go and see him in his Grotto.

The trains run every 15 minutes from 11.30 to 3pm. The children get to see Santa and get a present and the grown ups can have a drink and a mince pie.

This is a very popular event so please book in advance, there will only be limited places available on each day.

Santa Special dates for 2008 are Sunday 7th and Sunday 14th of December
